They've reached an agreement. Another one gone.

Supermane, Brandt is a wanted man otherwise Bayern would not be after him. He would be ahead of Ojo in the pecking order if he joined Liverpool. Not saying Ojo is not good enough but Brandt is far ahead in his career compared to Ojo.

Again, seems to be Bild so I wouldn't take too much note of it. Ed002 says we can make it happen if we want to.

Bayern only want him because he's a cheap option and they haven't got long to fix wing positions after costa problems (contract)

Its not because its impossible to not sign him like it would be the biggest mistake they ever made.

He's a good player but wouldn't say he is head and shoulders above ojo myself. Not in terms of prem experience anyway.

He's not going to dislodge our attacking players for some years, so I would rather give that time to ojo and the money spent on a world class lb.

Rather than a bench warmer.

Also we need to stop taking risks on young players. Its just to uncertain if they will make it.

Can, origi, markovic, Moreno, ilori.

Brandt after 2/ 3 more years, with proper returns for his pos (goals and assists/ then id rather spend 50 mil on him than 18 now and risk it wether he reaches that level.

I never said we should sign Brandt but fact is that he would be ahead of Ojo in the pecking order if we did decide to sign him.

Klopp has made use of every player he has signed bar Grujic due to injuries. If Klopp does sign Brandt then it is not going to be on the basis of having Ojo on the bench ahead of him. Ojo is not making the bench at LFC so think you are way over your head to think that Ojo is going to become a regular at Liverpool.

Again, this is not trying to judge Ojo but simply seeing what Klopp is doing with the youngsters and if Anything, TAA will be the most likely regular for the first team from the academy next season. The fact that Woodburn is making the bench ahead of Ojo seems to suggest that Ojo is going to have to prove that he is worthy of a place on the bench.

Again, if Klopp had to sign Brandt then it will be on the basis of him getting playing time. Players like Ojo will therefore take the back seat.

Ojo is and never will be good enough, at best he's a championship player. Please don't compare Brandt with ojo.

Why do people keep mentioning Ojo? He seems to be the flavour of the month on here, like Illori last year. So many sheep on here who pass on other people's opinion as there own. Him and Brandt are miles apart in their development, ones playing for his country while the other isn't even playing senior football. I don't know why so many people bang on about Ojo, he has never shown anything of note in the senior side and I wouldn't hold your breath that he's going to in the future, I hope I'm wrong but all these people need to reign in their expectations of the lad.

Where did I say I wanted Brandt? I gave my opinion that Ojo hasn't shown anything of note when playing for the first team and I'm not holding my breath that he will in the future.
I don't want much foreign football so I can't make any accurate judgement on Brandt but the fact he is playing regularaly for Leverkusen, gets in the German squad and looks as though Bayern are snapping him up all points to him being a much better prospect than Ojo.

In my eyes TAA, Woodburn and Wilson are better prospects than Ojo.

Brandt is only a year older but has over 80 top flight games under his belt so he's far further along in his development. It's easy to see why he's so highly rated as he's quick, strong, skilful, physically imposing and his decision making is quite good. At the moment Ojo isn't kicking on, almost like Ibe.

Ojo stagnated for a long time with a back issue. He has now been overtaken by Woodburn and Wilson. I think Ojo may spend the rest of this season in the u23s and then go on loan next season. Maybe to Barnsley who have been good for young Ryan Kent and will need a replacement for him on the left wing? Purely guesswork though.

Woodburn and Wilson are regularly making the bench now though and Ojo is nowhere to be seen in the first team match day squad.

Way too harsh to classify him a Championship player at 19 years old after 1 bad season, but he clearly isn't a short term answer though.

Supermane, Ojo is nowhere near ready for the first team otherwise he would be making the bench. Even with cup runs next season he will still need to show he is good enough.

Brandt is a regular starter for Leverkusen and has already featured for Germany. Klopp will definitely be signing at least one forward in the summer, whether it be a striker or a wide man. Brandt at his age is ready for first team action as he has plenty of experience. Ojo not going to be ready for next season and we also will not be signing players to replace Firmino, Coutinho or Mane unless there is a situation that they wanted to leave. The signing Klopp make have to be first team ready. Ojo ain't and with CL football on the horizon, we cannot rely on an academy star who has hardly kicked a ball at first team level for us.

Ojo is poor, he should go Bolton, that's his level.

Ojo has been recovering from injury.
As for Craig saying he's never done anything for the first team - you need to revise that opinion.
When he's played for the first team, he's impressed.

If you assume that Brandt was seen as our top target and a marquee signing by the club but couldn't wrap that up, then who will we be bringing in? As the list of realistic targets is shrinking very fast (given that we failed with Brandt and Darius who were both realistic and achievable) . As it is, I can see us doing our standard summer of buying badly while the rest bring in world class talent and us having the same gripes when the season is over by December because we are unable to compete.
