That is some pretty broken logic Mane. He's going to cost something in the region of 40mil. If we spend that kind of money you want to be solving your cb issues for the 5 years not slightly upgrading (which I'm not convinced we would be anyway) .

Morgan and Huth? How's that partnership working out at the moment?

Hesa a good player. Better than what we have (who we are currently in the top 4 with) and will certaintly improve us. If we can challenge for the league with skrtel in the side then we can with van dijk.

Sorry super Mane, that doesn't make them top class defenders. It was an amazing achievement but djimi traore is champions league winner should we bring him out of retirement? Joe hart has won 2 titles, shall we bring him in?

Maybe cos Klopp knows an average, overhyped and overpriced CB when he sees one and wants nothing to do with him. VDV is as overhyped due to his MOTD highlight reels as he is simply not good enough cos he doesn't work hard enough, lacks total concentration (like Lovren), goes walk about (like Skrtel and Lovren) and then has to charge back to make last ditch tackles (like Skrtel did), making him look like a good CB. We've all seen that movie and it doesn't end well. Klopp knows a good CB when he sees one (Matip) who is light years ahead of VDV. We need a CB like Matip to play next to him, not another "MOTD" CB like VDV.
