It won't come to that mate. I suspect we may have to accept a hefty fine though and at the very worst some sort of transfer embargo.

Absolutely atrocious conduct from whoever was in charge of this though. We have left a young boys career and his families finances in ruin.

This is just another example of FSG and their people having no regards for the moral side of football.

MK I understand this is partially to do with the owners how are you trying to spin this to take a jibe at the owners absolutely pathetic, if you read the story liverpool have refuted the claims we as a club did anything wrong while discussions were still ongoing, new rules were introduced stating clubs could no longer offer specific youngsters private education.

As a result Liverpool went to the Premier League to seek clarification and see if they could still take on Stoke’s commitment as part of the deal, They were told they couldn’t and with the boy not prepared to change schools, the transfer collapsed. The Reds will argue that while it’s an unfortunate situation, it was beyond their control.

The boy’s family claim as a result of the move to Liverpool falling through they have been left to cover the school fees and are in thousands of pounds of debt. He can’t play for another team until Stoke receive a compensation fee of around £50,000.

I'm sure not all information has been shared yet so we shall see if anything has been done wrong till then stop trying to blame the owners for no reason.

where did you read it, I can't see anything with regards to this?

..............I deleted you obnoxious nonsense - but this is nothing to do with FSG. As a club Liverpool has a history of tapping up. Last year they received two direct complaints to the club with the threat of it being referred to UEFA. As for the kiddies, there are several complaints being addressed at this time - Liverpool are not the only EPL side involved.}

Sounds like the PL rules changed mid negotiations and this family were caught in the crossfire and are now suing for damages. Can't see anything about a points deduction or anything else - seems to be more of a civil matter really.

Ed002.There is only one person on here I'd ask.
What's your take on this situation?

{Ed002's Note - I explained above when deleting the nonsense of chilianred.}

It is in 90 minutes. com the biggest trash site related to football, so can't count on it too much.

It is not about whether we broke any rules. We have an involvement in whatever capacity with ruining this kids career and leaving his parents in significant debt.

I don't really care what rules we have or have not broken. If this sits well with anyone associated with Liverpool then I am embarrassed. LFC are clearly guilty of some level of wrong doing or we would not have so many similar complaints against us.

Ed002, i completely appreciate this is nothing directly to do with FSG, but as owners of the club they are responsible for the actions of anyone and everyone their business employs and whilst John Henry and Tom Werner seem like nice people, there are clearly some very high ranking employees at LFC making some very silly and in some cases, callous decisions.

I did not mean it to be a rant at FSG. I am a strong supporter of them in general but some aspects of the way LFC is run, are just really disappointing at times. They have been principal owners for about 7 years now.

If there is anyone at the club guilty of continued wrong doing, then FSG must at the very least take a portion of the blame/ responsibility for their actions, surely? Please correct me if I am wrong though. You are far more in the know regarding such matters than myself.

I would guess that the reason we get tarred with the tapping up brush is because unfortunately we are well renowned for tapping up players. I recall off the top of my head Fulham making us grovel so they didn't make an official complaint over Clint Dempsey and there have been numerous examples since. Our name is mud now due to us lowballing teams and our general acting like we are better than everyone else when to be honest we don't sit at the big boy table of European clubs anymore. Not when it comes to big decision making anyway.
