Zork would be a great shout I think.
Not just because of the Klopp link but because of the fantastic work Dortmund have done getting some of the best talents around, they never seam to pay too much over the odds and they find some absolute diamonds. Zork is a major part of that.

I think we should have gone all out and pushed for the bloke at Sevilla. Monchi I think? I think he was going to leave at one point for a new challenge if I remember rightly and his work speaks for itself.

{Ed002's Note - Monchi would be a great choice but I would expect Klopp to walk if he came. Monchi understands the game, youngster, the transfer process and how to ease players through at the right time - he is in that way the absolute opposite of Klopp.}

Thanks for the reply Ed002. Was I right in remembering he was close to leaving at one point? Did we speak to him? Or is it just wishful thinking on my part?

{Ed002's Note - Everton were, not Liverpool. Real Madrid and PSG were the others.}

Hi Ed002, do you expect Klopp to walk if Monchi came, or if any DoF came in? I seem to remember Klopp working under Zorc but I freely admit I have no clue how that relationship worked out.

{Ed002's Note - I don't see it as an issue that we will see happen.}

At the risk of sounding daft Eds, but what is the difference between a "Director of Football" and "Sporting Director". Michael Edwards was appointed as Sporting Director, I believe. How would those two positions coexist and who would have the final say on transfers. Sounds like FSG is rebuilding a transfer committee again, without the title.

{Ed002's Note - Put aside the job titles - it is the roles the are responsible for.}

Maybe Matthias Sammer is ready to start working again? That would be great, we have lots of Germans in our staff, and he would be brilliant. :D unrealistic, i know.

Ed how much influence does Klopp have in recruitment. I'm sure he isn't negotiating transfer fees, agent fees, player wages, etc. But does he have an active role in picking which players we do target?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, he will liaise with the scouts and the transfer committee. He will ask scouts to take a look at players and will consider those offered up by them. He has nothing to do with contracts, negotiating, wages etc..}
