Hi Ed's.

I've seen a few stories linking us to a number of young players, two that pop out are chiesa from fiorentina and rodrygo of Santos.

According to the stories I've seen we have put offers on the table for these two players, just wondering if there is any truth in these stories.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I will deal with Rodrygo first as that is easy. Santos say that Liverpool and Braga have both asked for meetings regarding Rodrygo (who is still only 16 and won't be able to leave Brazil before he is 18). They have said that they don't wish to sell and the player will within a tear have first team opportunities on a regular basis and they are in discussions with his family over a new deal. There is a further complexity relkated to the inv olvement with and investment from Nike.

Fiorentina's Federico Chiesa has been watched by a number of sides but an approach from Lazio and an approach from Inter were fended off by him signing a new contract in January and commiting himself to the club. Liverpool may well have watched him.}

Agree about coutihno we should take 50m if offered he is not as good as people think
Karius should be given a chance as he never got time
Clyne should be sold and give TAA a chance the lad is class
A good center back with pace to go alongside matip
Left back is a major priorty
A DM in the mould of mascherano to play alongside henderson (haven't heard much on grujic lately after a promising preseason)
Up front its obvious we need a better striker, studge origi and ings could all be sold
Don't mean to be negative but the only ones I would keep from the first team squad is hendo, firmino and mane.

Fans like you bother me a great deal. I understand you want the best for the club but all you do is moan and spout absolutely nonsensical prattle lad, some of the things your saying is ridiculous.

Keeping three players out of the team that brought us some great matches this season is not negative? OK, it seems I still have a lot of work to do on my English.

Coutinho not good enough? Did I just read that? What world do you live in. the Lad is absolute quality. changes games on his own. world class.

When ABO, when does he change games on his own, the guy is a show pony, always on the edge of games threatening to do something, he never dominates a game like DAVID SILVA, then out of the blue COUTINHO scores a worldy and everyone thinks he's world class. at best he is just a good premier league player, he needs to step up to the plate ala Burnley, hull, Leicester etc.

Scoring a goal 'out of the blue' has changed the course of several games this season. Remember being 1 down at Arsenal?

If we are going to get a defensive workhorse AKA DM then I would prefer a Gattuso to a Mascherano. Better positional discipline plus would certainly liven up the slackers:-) Or even better another Souness.

In all honesty coutihno is a decent player but far far from world class, he isn't in the same category as Suarez messi or Ronaldo, they are what world class should mean. Its his attitude that he is too good for Liverpool that annoys me, Liverpool is a huge team with a fantastic history and he should be giving his all every time he plays.

Whilst we are on a downer people are going to have ammunition to throw. I try to weigh up the good with the bad and make my assessment from both, rather than just the most recent.
I'd put Coutinho in the class between those quoted. neither world class or decent.
He's a top quality player whose performances before his injury were top class. His performances in the struggling side less so. But just like Silva, he relies on movement around him to excel. I've seen numerous performances from silva that have been impotent, that's just the nature of his type of player.
Look at recent LFC v MCFC games to see which of those 2 players have been match winners.
Show the lad a bit of support when he's going through a rough patch. he would get in all teams in premiership. . There aren't many others who could say that. Man city fans would have him!

SIRSHANKS, that's the price on the ticket, when your agent is going in and getting you top wages like 120,000 pound a week you have to produce top performance's and you have to turn up against the burnleys and hulls, I'll reiterate it again scoring a worldy goal every now and again does not make you world class, if your taking the money your performance's have to go up and at this moment they are not, he's not alone LALANA is another one who needs to get a move he's also taking big bucks and producing junk.

Exactly the point I'm making wembley, too many players on big money with average quality, no point in them playing great against big teams then not showing up against so called small teams.

With all the players posters want out of the club can they tell us who the club will replace them with?

I think we should start at the back with a top centre half to come in and Gomes to step up from the u23s

Probably the hardest positions to fill are the 2 full back slots as in the modern game these players provide width in attack but also have to be tactically aware at all times of a counter attack.

If we sort out the defence and probably Sturridges position then I feel we are in good shape as the team can attack and defend as a unit further up the pitch.

Karius has had a hard time this season and needs to work on crosses but his distribution is 1st class and he is fast of the line in a sweeper capacity.

Coutinio is already an international class footballer at a young age and has maybe 5 years of possible improvement year on year to come.

Give the lad a break.
Hes just signed up a new deal last month for us which is great news.

Sturridge is the one who for all his undoubted abilities has to move on and probably to a country with a less physical league what has free health care and a fit physio.
