Eds not sure which one of ye said we are interested in Quincy Promes, was wondering if you think we will make an effort to sign him this window? Appreciate all your work on the site.

{Ed002's Note - Quincy Promes has been watched over the past 18 months or so by Inters, Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool, Dortmund, Al Ain and Southampton. Interest of Bayern Munich and Juventus (both of whom saw him as squad padding) was ended when quoted €32M by Spartak before Christmas 2015 but they became aware of a third party that might have a claim on the player and might need to be paid off. This has pushed the asking price to an unrealistic €45M - enought to make Spurs drop any thoughts about trying to negotiate a deal. A new contract has recently been signed but Spartak would be keen to sell in January. If Mane, Firmino or Coutinho were to leave then perhaps it would make some sense - else I cannot see how he would get a game at Liverpool.}

Just read on ESPN that Spartak are leading the league by 5 points and haven't won it since 2001. The fans would riot against the owners if they sell one of their better players and then go on to lose the title to a bitter rival.
Said it didn't expect to see this one go through in January even tho his form has dropped off lately.
