I don't understand why Klopp would let Flano go given the current defensive situation. I can only assume that he wants him to get a full season under his belt for fitness and confidence.

I can only see it as a good move for Flanno and LFC. The young kid has been out for a serious length of time and is going to take time to get match fit, we're not talking days or a few games here but weeks of competitive games. Yes Moreno has his flaws but Flanno is going to take a few months before he's ready to compete with Moreno. If he did that it could be November or December before he's match fit for us and that's a lot of games where we are playing with a sub par LB. Klopp probably thinks that it would be best for all concerned if that time was somewhere else, besides this season Klopp has been a bit clever with the loans. Next season we will hopefully have a fully fit Flanno back and have had none of the draw backs of getting him there. Win win in my opinion. If we do happen to buy one this window then great we'll have 2 quality LB's next season.

I agree Pinkfloydd - a full season of regular footy will do him the world of good. If we are not going to give him the opportunity let him go and get it elsewhere. Great potential.

He has struggled since his injury, to gain form. This loan should bring him back to his best and hopefully we will see him come back fitter next yr.

He's a right back isn't he? As in his natural position. More of a clyne replacement for me . We still need a left back but the right one and not just a panic buy, even if that means in a future transfer window (although please god no! )

Why would you make such an assumption or comparison of two players?
I prefer to be confident that Flanagan can establish himself as Burnley's first choice RB and play 30-40 games this season and put his injury history firmly behind him. Kieran Trippier had a good season there and earned a £4m move to Spurs. If Flanno does the same then he is already our player and it's been a good move for everyone.

Flanno's a starter for me, as in first eleven.

Surely it would have made more sense to send Randall out on loan and keep Flanno! Flanno's fitness will improve but I guess it's all about getting regular game time.

I thought the rumor was Randall was also going out on loan?

If he doesn't replace Milner at LB, Then he isn't good enough to the current manager. Burnley thinks he is fit enough to play for them.

The sooner the some of you realise that the lad has had a serious injury and may never quite be the same, The better.

The club know something, and they need to test AND monitor him competitively, and if there are issues with hus fitness as a result of the injury, then Liverpool Football Club could not afford to give him the games he requires.

Good for all parties if true, and I'm willing to put my trust in the club on this one.
