Couple of rumours this morning.

1) Crystal Palace interested in Benteke. Be quite funny if this one goes through, considering Pardew labelled him 'a cheat' after the league game at Selhurst Park

2) Liverpool linked again with Neven Subotic. In my opinion, we should have signed him instead of Stephen Caulker. I just didn't get the Caulker signing at all.

One things for sure. With Toure gone, and Skrtel looking like leaving, plus the Sakho situation, a new CB should definitely be brought in, maybe even 2.

"Maybe even two"?

What, as well as Matip? What are we going to do with 3 new centre backs?

Play a back 6? 4 centre backs in between Chilwell and Clyne. Put Origi, Balotelli and Benteke up front as they are all tall and just hoof it up to them. No need for a proper midfield. Just have the new signing of Toni Kroos sitting in front of the back six for his accurate forward hoofs!

The Crystal Palace rumour seems to have the s** as its only source. Nuff said.

Caulker was brought in on loan.

GingerLfc, didn't realize that that rag was printing the Benteke story. I realise Caulker was a loan signing, but that's my point. I'd rather we'd bought Subotic (a player Klopp knows well) rather than loan in a CB from the Championship, who is now no longer at the club, and was primarily a 'stop gap' signing.

I don't think we need another centre back with Matip, Lovren and Sakho in the squad as senior centre backs and Square Tomato confirming that Gomez is expected to be the 4th choice.

The Real AG, I think one of the Eds said Gomez would go out on loan - not that I would agree with LFC if they chose that. Subotic would be an excellent signing, but that would be an immense rotation (Subject to injuries) and I think a center back pairing consistently used is key to a strong defence.
