Liverpool have made a 12 million euro offer for Zielinski in the last hour and are confident a deal will be done.

1.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 13:48:03
Is this true Eds?

{Ed002's Note - It is correct that an offer has been made but I have no idea if the club a "confident" that a deal can be done when they know that their offer falls short of the asking price.}

2.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 13:56:42
Perfect, udinese like koln will accept in time for us to seal the deal with their at halftime of their next match!

3.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 15:34:18
A rhetorical question, why is Liverpool still screwing around with this deal?

4.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 17:31:03
Bit subjective but who short of their valuation is our offer? Obviously avoiding specifics but is it a bit short or is it half what they want?

understand it is a negotiation but if it is miles off don't know why clubs bother as imagine waste a huge amount of time and resources to do so!

{Ed002's Note - Udinese has no interest in negotiating with Liverpool and have told the club the price they must pay for a player they tapped up.}

5.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 17:48:19
The guy has been taking selfies wearing the shirt, has come out and said he prefers Liverpool, and we're nickle and dime'ing the Udinese on a couple million Euros?

Typical Liverpool transfer attitude.

United, City, Arsenal, Tottenham, hell even West Ham are out there making ambitious moves, signings, and offers, and we're playing dollar ante.

6.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 17:54:22
So any idea if the offer matches there Value ed2?

{Ed002's Note - RTFP.}

7.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:12:43
Cheers eds! Tbh suppose that is fair enough! Not like they are asking for obscene money.

8.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:17:04
Oh yeah lol.

9.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:21:28
Have we matched Napoli's offer?

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Napoli's offer which was more convoluted.}

10.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:38:32
Ed2 are you surprised an offer as been made while the player is playing in the euros?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

11.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:51:39
But is our offer of equal, or greater value to theirs? not trying to be smart but why should we bid more than the other interested teams if the player favours a move to us! fair enough with the whole tapping up but Italian teams are no saints either. i'm sure most transfers involve some level of sounding out a player before a bid has bein made. i just ask because if we went in and offered silly money straight away the club would get abuse from fans similar to when silly money was paid for Benteke, Lallana.

{Ed002's Note - I explained that Napoli's offer was more convoluted but is acceptable to Udinese. Italian teams "being no saints" is no reason or justification for Liverpool to act illegally. Liverpool know what the asking price is for Udinese to sell to them.}

12.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 18:52:58
I'm watching the Northern Ireland vs Poland game hoping to take a look at him and he's on the bench.

13.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 19:20:53
sods law that mate, it would have been nice to have seen him in action, maybe he will get a game next time.

14.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 19:33:35
To me, this deal is too complicated as a result of us tapping him up and the well is already poisoned. I say, we walk away now.

15.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 20:34:54
Fair enough but at the end of the day if two teams offer the same amount (say £10m from both teams) and they want to sell the player but the player makes it clear he will only go to one of them teams surely pride will have to be swallowed on their part and the player sold. i for ine won't lose any sleep over it.

{Ed002's Note - No, why should they? Liverpool have acted illegally to turn the head of their player - and no you think they should sell cheaply to Liverpool. Would Liverpool sell Firmino cheaply to Manchester United if Mourinho kept calling him?

Liverpool's reputation within the business is poor and what little respect clubs had for them went with the treatment of Bolton and ex Liverpool player Jay Spearing. The fans have let the club down repeatedly with their loutish behaviour in Europe and the many charges that were made against the club. The fans have also left the club in the embarrassing situation of having to go cap in hand to Manchester United to pay for the damage the fans did to the stadium.

Rather like Liverpool, you don't seem to have any grasp at how the business is meant to work. }

16.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 20:45:00
I didn't say cheaply. i said equal to the other offers which they recieve.

{Ed002's Note - As I said, no grasp. If Udinese decide to complain the consequesnces for Liverpool are potentially very serious indeed. For a club continuing to walk on thin ice with another UEFA hearing to attend already they might want to rethink.}

17.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 20:47:27
And also. i don't see what the behaviour of the fans has anything to do with the subject!

{Ed002's Note - It is all part of the problems the club are already facing without looking for more.}

18.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 16:10:37
Liverpool FC valuation for the player is less than what Udiness is asking. May be they don't value the player at £15 mill.

19.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 19:13:28
I wouldn't worry too much guys. We will get him at our price. We need to start overpaying for players now. Remember transfer window hasn't even opened. Exciting times ahead.

20.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 21:43:40
Ed2 - you have mentioned this a few times - spearing .
Now I don't have your knowledge - however from a fans view - if you a agree a price and set a payment schedule over 100 games - Bolton knew for a long period of the fee due - clearly he was worth the fee as in the team.
couldnt have sold him on to balance the books?
Rather than hope Liverpool would wave the fee?

{Ed002's Note - Bolton did not want Liverpool to wave the fee, just delay payment of it until the end of the season. The way the club behaved was an absolute disgrace and not something any other club would have done. I cannot even imagine what Spearing thinks of the club.}

21.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 22:30:49
Ed 2 without trying to cause an argument or be racist in any way shape or form. But with your knowledge has our behaviour and reputation taken a turn for the worse since American ownership or have we always been this poor.

{Ed002's Note - It has come about with the current owners.}

22.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 23:02:32
our reputation amongst other clubs is lying in tatters, this Is the one thing I don't like about the current owners, now we even have the manager blatenly tapping players up, its only going to be a matter of time before we get charged for improper conduct, as for the spearing matter the pr department missed a open goal by not offering to help Bolton and spearing at a time both player and club needed it, its leaving a bitter taste, yet when other clubs offend us with there offers { £40m + £1) for example we don't like it, hate to say it but we never had these problems regarding transfers dealings under hicks and gillete, we really need to sort this out before we become blacklisted amongst other clubs, the ings situation another sad episode, the question should be why and what are we achieving with this behaviour?

23.) 12 Jun 2016
12 Jun 2016 23:09:12
Hello ed
What do you mean liverpool tapped the player how did do that. Just wanted know what happened.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp has spoken directly to the player.}

24.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 05:44:38
If we are going to tap up players like Chelsea and United do/ have done then we need throw money at the situation like they do aswell.

25.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 07:47:21
Just what are the rules on "tapping up" e. g. with Goetze, with whom Klopp has an existing relatonship, would they not be allowed to communicate whilst contracted to different clubs? Would this be written into Goetze's contract? With Coutinho, what about the behaviour of Barcelona's Brazillian players? Where is the line drawn? I guess many, like me, will be ignorant of the specifics.

{Ed002's Note - He cannot talk to him about any potential move to Liverpool.}

26.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 05:04:01
If Udinese were really angry they wouldn't sell us at any price. They are just trying to act difficult. They know we have the money from TV deal. They could care less about a player who wanted to leave (whether we came for him or not) anyway. He isn't moving to their rivals either.

All this tapping up stuff (however true) is just a front in my honest opinion. Football is a business at the end of the day. Money talks. It is naive to think other top clubs haven't done the same thing multiple times. Keep faith guys. We will get him once the transfer window opens.

27.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 13:33:50
I love Liverpool FC, but i'm struggling to understand why a lot of you are taking the hump with Udinese about this?

We've broken the rules, tapped a player up, and the way to "sweep this under the carpet" is to pay the asking price. but we're not doing it.

Bottom line, we screwed up, so either pay Udinese the money to ignore what we did, or walk away and live with any consequences. It's in no way Udinese's fault that this has become a drawn-out mess.

28.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 18:15:27
Whilst it is frustrating to see that other clubs use international team mates to tap up someone, we can't complain and take some kind of moral high ground when we're at it as well. The only thing is we're crap at it, not just doing it, so it is doubly stupid. As Ed has said, the attitude of doing it then trying to underbid is just stupid, are we trying to manufacture the club to make a complaint?

29.) 13 Jun 2016
13 Jun 2016 21:30:00
Thank you rugby Parker.

30.) 14 Jun 2016
14 Jun 2016 05:33:37
Every club taps players up, we are just stupid enough to keep getting caught. How is that hard to understand. Udinese are well within their rights to open a case up with UEFA which could cause a hell of a load more problems than their asking price. Read Ed002s posts its only a global business now and if we don't sort in house all we will have is history. Phone calls are so easily traced/ tapped/ recorded, come on.

31.) 14 Jun 2016
14 Jun 2016 09:04:30
I'm in total agree with with Ed002 on this.

If you get caught tapping and screwing around, pay the damn full asking price, especially where you obviously can afford it, and especially when it's only a few million *and* the player has said he prefers you over competing bids.

And especially when you're about to throw 20m+ and Jordan Ibe at overpriced/ overrated Sadio Mane.
