Seeing latest random name being linked is alex chamberlain. I tried the search function and it went to a post from 2013. Thought I would share and wondered if the eds cared to share an opinion.

We have enough home grown players to meet the criteria so hopefully we will only sign quality players this summer and there are quality English wingers.

He's injury prone, but works very hard, is quick but sometimes lacks end product, an improvement to the squad but not a massive one.

Agree with fency on lacking end product but don't agree he would be an improvement I personally think he's just not what we should be looking for.

He played centre midfield when arsenal beat Bayern munich in Germany couple of years ago and was given man of the match for running the show perhaps that's were Jurgen wants him to play was Jurgen scouting that game. personally think he would be a great addition.

Ed, guess the only difference with this one is arsenal are normally trying to stop their players from leaving whereas this one it seems they are happy to let go. I don't think he's improved in the last few years which I guess is why there's no point keeping him, though still a decent player on his day.

{Ed001's Note - when have Arsenal said they are happy to let him go? That is just nonsense. I do agree he hasn't improved and is not good enough, certainly would not want us to buy him, but Arsenal are not looking to offload him at all.}

He's bang average and frankly I'd hope we give him a miss. No end product and not a particularly good player. Would be a waste of money if we signed him.

Cech was getting old and he was sold for top price with contract ending for 10mil.
