A very odd move, if true. especially for someone so young.
From pleading to play in the Premier League to further his career. to playing in China!

Definitely only in it for the money probably better off without him.

I worry that this just proves we can't compete for the best and regardless of Klopp's credentials, if we can't get the players, we'll be stuck with third rate players like Milner, Mignolet and Benteke.

Think this just proves we were spot on not to take him always had doubts (look at previous posts) .
Got exactly what he wanted from Liverpool and that was much needed publicity to get his name around so he has a shot at the Brazil squad and the mega bucks he wanted. Played us like a fiddle.

I find it strange why a player would move to one of the smaller / lower quality leagues but then again he could probably spend 2 or 3 years there and never have to work again so I'm not going to knock the player.

I think we were correct not to pay £35m for him and come the summer I would hope we can get a couple of v good players for the same amount of money.

This has no reflection on the club or the manager IMO.

Us get good players? You realise our committee and scouts have no concept of this?

why is it odd move? have you guys not attended any job interviews? "oh this is a great company to work for and my passsion is in xxxx" Then when you receive 2 offers, money talks. every footballer want to line their pockets and getting into the national team is one way to attract good offers. But if a stupendous offer comes along even without national selection, all the merrier, 1 step less. thats' what happens to Texeira. He probably receiev wages in excess of 250k pounds/ week in China, yes they do pay that well which he will not get in europe. Besides at the moment, its an easier league to play in. Higher pay, easier job, isn't that how the game is played. wake up.

Lower reward though as well Leek. Winning the Chinese league, hardly a credential in the footballing world. I would rather less pay and worthwhile achievements. Says a lot about his priorities.
