We are definitely trying to do a deal for Texeria. Liverpool executives are currently out at the Florida cup where Shaktar are playing. We are looking in the region of £25m but Shaktar want nearer to £40m. Other premier league teams also have executives out there trying to make a deal happen.

Confirmed by Paul Joyce from the Express. Ian Ayre has flown out to the USA to discuss a deal for Teixeira! The lad has 22 goals and 3 assists in 15 games.

Under the radar, similar to Firmino in the summer. Much better from the club.

The lad has been on the wish list since Klopp came mate. He has tracked him since he bought Mikhy a few years ago. Chelsea have tracked him also. I can see heartbreak lads with Chelsea doing a willian again. But to be fair Chelsea have been negotiating for a long while. Keep fingers crossed cause the lads top draw.

If we do get him it'll mean that we've spent another whopping bundle of cash to sink the club into massive debt. I almost hope we don't, but it is a very exciting sign that we're even trying to get such a player. I expect he'll end up at Chelsea in the end though, because that way he can crash on the couch of Akhmetov's gaff at One Hyde Park.

Would make sense to me - can play striker but also as a pacy goalscoring winger/ wide attacking mid. He's more Sanchez than Milner.

Being reported the deal has been agreed £24.5m rising to £29m. Got to admit I know little about him but his goalscoring record is good for an attacking midfielder, albeit in lesser leagues. Possibly an indication Coutinho is going to leave? or will he play upfront?

I think it's fair to say this isn't bullsh*t.

I can see the price being a lot higher than 24m though especially in a winter window. The kid obviously has a lot of interest and the club certainly aren't going to be desperate for cash given the fact that the owner is super-duper rich and able to wait.
