Just seen paper talk regarding west ham interested in Sturridge for 18 million.
I'm torn on whether I would like us to sell sturridge or not, part of me wants to give him until next season to regain full fitness but part of me thinks he's never going to get over his injury nightmare, and 18 million seems a decent sum for a lad we can never seem to play.

If he leaves and long comes in I'm going to cry because whan fit he's easy in top 3 st in the prem.

I'm with you on that. Long isn't even top ten in the prem. I'd hate to see sturridge leave for a prem side. They were looking med with Balo 2 days ago so maybe it's just press trying their luck.

Can't believe yer even thinking it may be true for one second.

Why would West Ham even consider a bid for Sturbridge at this time?

Don't waste the eds valuable time having to respond to this nonsense!

It wouldn't surprise me that it's 'true' that West Ham are interested.

As for Liverpool, then surely we can give until the end of the season, unless of course, a done-deal has already been agreed for him to leave.

Sincerely hope not.

A 20% fit Sturridge will probably still score us more goals than a 100% fit Long - it's a sad day if Long and Caulker are the best we can do.

Maybe Andy Carroll needs a physio room buddy?

£18m plus agents fees, taxes and huge wages in the January transfer window with no sign of injury recovery or remediation is neither financially viable, feasible or makes one single iota of business sense

It is simply not going to happen, and nothing but tabloid garbage teasing the gullible people who read that tripe.

When did the Brentwood Gazette become the tome of all knowledge?

Has anyone looked at the website? the front page news is that they're 'horrified' a Costa Coffee is due to open in November on the High Street! seriously?

I know it's not true but I would snap their hands off. Over half way through the season and the guy has played 4 times, sorry but lfc cannot afford to carry this guy regardless of how good he is when fit. WHEN is the important word, a guy who is hasn't played a full seasons worth of games in nearly 4 yrs! £18m represents a profit on the guy, another chance like this will not happen. It's very likely that Daniel will be completely fit ever again as I'm sure that his problems are his mental state now. That's much harder to resolve. We would be absolutely stupid to turn it down.

I agree - A very difficult decision to make because at his best he is lethal. Is this now becoming a mental issue for him? I'd say that we've seen his best and it's definitely worth waiting until the end of the season for. However the longer he stays injured the less confident I am that he is able to recover.
Could we get a loan until the end of the season? Who is available? -
Rossi?
Remy?
Even Adebayor knows where the back of the net is!
That would allow us time to assess Sturridge again and then find someone during the summer

Could we offer West Ham Benteke instead?
