Good afternoon Ed002

Whats your opinion please on how Klopps first 11 games have gone on and off the field and what changes has he implemented in training? Its clear we seem to have a swagger and a beleif back. Also if you don't mind what can we expect in the January transfer window, very little?

Appreciate yout efforts mate.

{Ed002's Note - I think he has done great - the team is by all accounts playing well and the results are coming.

Scouts are continuing to look at players but I cannot say if anything significant will happen in January - as clubs are typically not keen on selling.

Dortmund would be open to letting Subotic leave so I don't think that would compromise the promise made by Klipperty - and it would not be out of the question to see Liverpool look to him. Toure will be moving on in the summer so perhaps a sensible addition.

Patricio has been looked at before and has been looked at again (on more than one occasion this season) - it does't mean there is particular interest but they are keeping him in mind - certainly not a January option.

El Ghazi has been watched by Liverpool and a whole bunch of other clubs. Sane is similar to El Ghazi - a lot of clubs have been looking at him, including Liverpool.

Liverpool are one of the clubs who have enquired after Birmingham's Demarai Gray - albeit before Klipperty arrived.

Liverpool had scouts at a Porto match (against Maccabi Tel Aviv), I don't know who they were looking at as several Porto players are attracting attention (Martins Indi, Brahimi and Neves). It issms unlikely that any of these will be moving to Liverpool in January.

PSGs Lamine Ba has been of interest to Liverpool but he would be an unlikely addition to the first team squad.

Liverpool, along with Stoke and in Particular Bournemouth, are looking at Leeds' Lewis Cook, and additionally Liverpool has maintained their interest in Sam Byram. Another left back looked at is Lorient's Raphael Guerreiro.

I suspect a lot of what will happen going forward will be dependent on sales as well.}

Cheers for reply Ed. Is Subotic not first choice for Dortmund? Is he an improvement on what we have? Klopp is interested in bringing him in then o take it or are you just saying he is available.

{Ed002's Note - He has struggled with injury this season but is no longer first choice. They would, as I have said, sell him. The expectation is that Toure will leave in the summer and he would, if fit, be an option to replace him. Right now it looks like Liverpool will get an offer of a loan to buy on Sakho in January, so they may need to think a little more about what they wish to do in the longer term with their centre backs.}

Hmmmm, think I'd rather keep Sakho personally, starting to look like 1st choice before his recent setback. Be disappointed of we let him go.

Sakho won't be leaving now, surely? He's been an absolute monster since coming back into the side. The fans seem to love him as well.

Hi Eds, its strange you did not mention Leroy Sane.

{Ed002's Note - I did - read the post.}

Ed002, who will this offer be from, and do you expect the club to accept it? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Roma - Liverpool might have a battle.}

I would be gutted to lose sakho do you think the club might take up the option to sell.

{Ed002's Note - If he is not going to play he knows the chances of the Euros are slim.}

Who would that be Ed looking to Loan and buy Sakho?
Filtering in all possibilities do you think we would take it?
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Roma - the club need to think about the views of the player.}

03 Dec 2015 18:19:21
surely Sakho will stay now, esp he's playing also didn't he sign a new contract.

{Ed002's Note - He is not playing - he is injured. Lovren is going to need to be removed.}

03 Dec 2015 18:24:09
Is it Roma interested in Sakho again ed? I think the fans would be quite disappointed were Sakho to go after a new contract and completely transformed performances.

Can you tell us which team is interested in taking Sakho on loan?

{Ed002's Note - Roma.}

03 Dec 2015 19:50:24
I don't think they're suggesting in place of sakho. Mind skrtel and lovren have both improved this season. Is subotic a definete improvement if he hasn't played much this season?

{Ed002's Note - It would not be a replacement for Sakho - Toure.}

Cheers for reply Ed mate. Can I ask who is showing the interest in Sakho for January please?

{Ed002's Note - Roma.}

Cheers mate, I know you've said who it is above lol but the answer wasn't there when I asked.

Subotic in for Sakho isn't a bad deal imo.

Sakho is not going anywhere in January or anytime soon!

Everyone needs to calm down.

He signed a new contract recently and is our best and (when he's fit) our first choice CB.

He is extremely happy at the club and Klopp is a big fan of his.

03 Dec 2015 22:11:04
Toure won't be sold though surely? I doubt sakho will leave now he is getting games (when fit) which he wasn't before. My point is we will buy someone to play with sakho, keep skrtel or lovren (ed002 said lovren will be removed) and maybe one to replace him.

16.) 04 Dec 2015
03 Dec 2015 23:56:56
Sakho is by a mile, our best CB. Absolutely love him at the back he's a beast!
Why on earth would we even consider selling our number 1 CB!?!?

17.) 04 Dec 2015
04 Dec 2015 07:50:21
Agree, skrtel with subotic challenging, and sakho with Lovren challenging would be a very strong line up at CB. Toure is great but he's aging and injury prone and can see him leaving end of season.

Apart from CB, the only other gap (assuming migs has Klopp's backing) would be a PL ready FB to back up either Moreno or Clyne should one of them get injured. Hopefully Flanno comes back soon and can prove himself again but until then I think we're a bit exposed if someone gets hurt.

I'd imagine that Sakho will be fairly secure in his position - both Skrtel and Lovren have improved but neither are as good as him even with their improvements. When he returns from injury I have little doubt he'll slot back in, and unless he desperately wants to leave (which I can't see right now) I think we'll be fine. Really wouldn't want to do a loan to buy either, I don't see how they can possibly be of any benefit to the club to send out someone who is a first team regular on that deal.

19.) 04 Dec 2015
04 Dec 2015 15:56:01
Sane would be an awesome addition, especially his ability to play wing on either side.

He's not a prolific crosser, but I don't think that's a big deal. I still say our best ball is a fluid style with the ball on the floor through the middle (sorry Aldo, Thommo) .

20.) 04 Dec 2015
04 Dec 2015 20:36:19
Sahko is not playing because he's injured not because he's out of favour. Before his injury he was obviously first choice. I think klopp will convince him to stay.

21.) 05 Dec 2015
05 Dec 2015 00:05:58
Subotic is a right sided CB I don't see how that effects Sakho, or Lovren for that matter. If he does come in then it looks like it will be for a long term replacement for Toure I would suggest that is why Ed002 mentioned them in the same paragraph at the start.

Sakho's Probebly are best defender why on earth would we loan him out that's a ridiculous shout.
