City are back in talks woth us about Sterling. Surely a deal will be reached ed

{Ed001's Note - I still expect a deal to be agreed.}

I no you don't like timescale questions mate but would you think a deal is likely before we go on tour on Sunday?

{Ed001's Note - no.}

Do you think he will go on tour ed??

{Ed001's Note - I expect he will try and force the issue by refusing to be honest.}

Can we expect any other teams interested?

{Ed001's Note - highly unlikely anyone else would go near him, at the price Citeh have already offered.}

I'll eventually be glad to see him gone, but eds do you think on a footballing side he will improve at City? Always thought LFC would be the best place for his development.

A shame really, there was so much hype about the lad when he got into the first team. YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - I think it is a mistake for his development, he will be given far too much freedom, when he needs to be brought down to earth and grow up.}

Some folk would call that Karma, Ed1.

Berahino has sacked Ward, it seems everyone except Raheem Sterling gets the problem here.
I am surprised City are happy to deal with the agent.

Ed001 is correct. RS should have stayed with us for another 2 seasons as he'd have been 99.9% guaranteed first team football. That's 2 seasons of development there that COULD have seen him turn into the type of player that Real Madrid or Barcelona would have wanted to buy.

Instead he's going to go to city where he'll likely be dropped after any string of more than 2 patchy performances - we've seen this time anecdotal time again - meaning his development becomes stymied and he never reaches his true potential. It's a shame for everyone concerned - player, Liverpool and England.

Sometimes money has a 'magical' effect on people. or maybe I should say most of the time

Hi Ed. If Sterling is apparently unhappy at Liverpool and it isn't about the money then why hasn't he handed in an official transfer request? (I am assuming that he would lose a substantial loyalty bonus - but wouldn't that mean he could go for less than the £50 mill that is being quoted in the papers?) cheers

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea, I can only assume greed.}

RS is a money grabbing git. I really annoys me that he is blaming Rogers now. FFS Rogers has his faults, but he has looked after this kids superbly, its the final kick in the teeth and a example of what this kid is all about.
tbh the writing was on the wall that this was coming at his last contract. Eds not sure if you can confirm but pretty sure he was trying to hold the club to ransom then as well.
Not mad keen on abusing opposition players but I hope he get booed and jeered from minute one. (or minute 79 when he comes off the bench lol)
For lfc point of view 45m for RS, even if he wanted too stay I would be accepting that type of bid for him.

I remember reading an article about why he chose Liverpool in the first place - We offered more money than anyone else. He showed his true colours then and is now. We were happy to take him then, I guess we shouldn't be surprised, he hasn't changed, it's just we are on the wrong end of his greed this time.
