Question for either of the eds but I know we have offered for Kovacic 'which in everyone's opinion is never going through now' are there back ups for him on our target list? In the position the club sees him for.

Could you provide a few names?

Do you think with how we handled the Firmino transfer the club could go back and clear things up, make a better offer, take some of the Inter people out for a nice dinner perhaps?? ;)

Likely an opportunistic purchase then. if available we buy and move Allen and if an acceptable bid is not feasible we keep Allen. ?

Kovacic is a really exciting player but how the hell are we going to play with all the midfielders (good ones as well) we have amassed? Just feel for Ibe and Markovic (who might go on loan) with scarce chances.

Nice problem to have I suppose but while he's a class act I think £20m or so could be better spent elsewhere.
